Queensryche - Mindcrime At the Moore

Queensryche - Mindcrime At the Moore

So, the first "Operation:Mindcrime" disc is an absolute classic. An amazingly well written, and beautifully played progressive rock, concept album. And though it's been played in its entirety many times (and better!), this is still a pleasing performance to my ears. Tate's voice isn't what it once was, and DeGarmo is obviously not in attendance, but it's still a decent enough performance. (I could do without the cheesy dialogue though... and the terrible audio issues on the vocals during "My Empty Room")

"Operation: Mindcrime 2" is a damned fine album, written by a band that have been hit and miss for quite a number of years. It's not even in the same league as the first, but still some great tunes, and playing on the album. And this live performance is quite an enhancement to that. Okay, so the story line is a bit unbelievable at times, but I can forgive that.

Not a bad way to spend a couple hours of my life, listening to this killer live set.
